Let's Do This Again!

Our new children's ministry leaders at church, sort of revamped the dedication event at our church and turned it into a 2 day event. They invited parents of preschoolers to dedicate their children even if their children were dedicated as babies. We decided to go for it. We listened to a CD that they gave the families, did the homework and attended the event. They invited the parents, the children, and anyone that would might be involved in the spiritual development of your children.
The even was held Mother's Day weekend and the first even was on Saturday.
There was a slideshow of the children that were being dedicated, the children's pastor and the church's pastor spoke, and then we got to share our "homework" at our tables with our family members and the church member that would be praying for us.
There was a photographer there that took wonderful pictures of the families, including the pics in my header and most of the pics in my sidebar. We took some pics too. There was a delicious spread of food to enjoy afterwards. The only challenge was getting FJ to stay seated during the event.

The bow in Miss A's hair was sent to her from her Mamaw and Papaw in Louisiana. Is it okay for me to say my daughter is beautiful? Because I think that...every single day-

All in all, it was a wonderful event and totally worth dedicating them again. It helped us focus our parenting so much more and look at the bigger picture. In the day to day, I get caught up in the pottying, feeding, changing, playing, and cleaning and lose sight of who I want my kids to be in 18 years. But this made us bring it all in to focus and challenged us on priorities in our lives and the kind of character and qualities we want our kids to possess when they are adults.
