I added a slideshow of pictures from Mary Beth and Billy's wedding last weekend. You have to scroll down to the bottom to see it.

Audrey Rolling Over and Fun with Feet

So a couple of weeks ago I put Audrey on her tummy and she had her arms underneath her and she started to turn on her side and then turned over! I was so excited but then I thought that maybe she only did that because of how I laid her. So, yesterday morning I laid her on our bed and laid her with her arms supporting her and she held her head up for a long time!! Then she rolled over!!! She did this twice!! I was so excited and finally realized that she did roll from tummy to back for the first time a couple of weeks ago because she needs her arms in front of her to hold her head up-who doesn't? I was thinking she should be able to hold her head up without her arms or that she should know that she should put her arms in front of her to prop herself up. But of course it's hard for anyone to hold themselves up without their arms AND she doesn't yet know to put her arms in front of her to prop herself up! I know I should have used common sense to figure that out but I am chalking it up to being a first time mom. So anyway, I am very excited!!! Seeing her hold her head up so much makes her seem so much older...she looks so cute doing it!
Also, a couple of weeks ago I posted that she was grabbing her foot and I thought it was by accident but I quickly realized she knew exactly what she was doing! Now, she is grabbing both feet! She loves grabbing both feet and enjoys doing this in her car seat and when sitting on our bed. I will post pics of this soon!

Wedding and Father's Day Weekend

We went down to Bedford, VA last weekend for a wedding that I was in on Saturday. We drove down on Thursday and Audrey was content for the first couple of hours but the last two hours, she pretty much cried the whole time. I had to get in the back seat and try to console her but it was no use. She only wanted to be held and of course I couldn't do that while we were moving! Friday I had a bridesmaid's brunch so Evan got some daddy/daughter time during that. Then on Saturday Evan got tons of daddy/daughter time while I got my hair and makeup done and did bridesmaid stuff. Evan called me about an hour and a half before the ceremony because he didn't know if he would be able to make it because Audrey woke up from a nap very upset and hungry. But he fed her and made it in time. However, in typical Audrey-fashion, she decided to poop as soon as the ceremony started! Then about half-way through the ceremony Evan had to take her out of the service because she was getting fussy. He was a great daddy all weekend! On Sunday we drove back and Audrey was content the whole time! We were so happy! We got back around 2:00 and then at 4:30 we had to head out for dinner with Evan's dad's side of the family for Father's Day. We met up with the family at Outback and Audrey was upset the minute we sat down. She would not calm down so I took her outside and walked around for a while. I tried to come back in with her when the meal was served but she just got even more upset. So, we had to get our dinner to go and head home early. When we got home, Audrey was perfectly content to sit in her swing while we ate dinner. Hmmmm....I don't know if I will ever figure that little one out!

Audrey's Baby Dedication

Audrey was dedicated to the Lord on Sunday, June 1st at our church. Several of our friends also dedicated their babies that day too. It was a beautiful day and lots of Evan's family were able to attend the event. Evan's mom's side of the family came down from New Jersey and Evan's grandmother was able to meet her great-granddaughter for the first time! We got wonderful pics of the two of them together. Evan's dad's side of the family were also able to attend the dedication and they came back to our house afterwards for lunch. I will post some pics of the day as soon as possible.

The "Buh" sound and feet

Audrey started making the "buh" sound yesterday!! I noticed her make the sound and saw her put her lips together to make it and I was so surprised and excited! I said "Buh!" right back to her. Later she did it more when Evan came home and I go so excited for him to see it. He was cracking up and all smiles. She kept making that sound over and over. It was awesome! Evan pointed out the fact that she was putting her lips together to make that sound and how she hadn't done that before.
Another thing I have noticed her doing is grabbing at her feet by accident. She's been doing this the past 2 or 3 days. She's been pulling her feet up and her right hand will grab her right foot. But she doesn't look down to see what she's doing so I know right now it's just by accident. It's just a matter of time before she does realize what she's doing and realizes her feet are there and starts to grab them on purpose!
