One of the Best Mother's Day Ever
My Mother's Day was absolutely one of the best so far!!! This was my 5th one being a mother and the second one I've actually been able to spend with my own mom since moving up here in 2004. The first year was spent in Louisiana during Miss A's first visit to Shreveport. But each year since then I've missed my mom each Mother's Day.
I got to sleep in till 8 and came down to a delicious breakfast from my husband. He had made us all some waffles with whip cream and fruit along with eggs. It was delish! He had run out and bought my mom and I a delicious latte from Wegman's and brought me some flowers as well. After breakfast, my mom and I opened presents. My dear husband bought me two shirts and a pair of earrings. My mom gave me a bag of goodies including a Pamba Toto necklace, a headband and some kitchen gadgets. I was given some really sweet cards too from them.
We had lunch after church at Maggiano's in Tyson's Corner-
The kids trying to pass the time before the food arrived-
me with the littlest lady-
Me and my mama-
All three mamas-
E with his mama-
Playing with some disguises...Rosie looks quite incognito, eh?
A mustache can also double as a uni-brow-
Oh he cracks himself up-
This unibrow thing is just getting out of hand-
Finally...dessert!
Family photo op afterwards-

Farm Visit
While my mom was here, we went to Frying Pan Farm Park one morning and had a fantastic time.
Riding on the wagon-
Checking out the peacocks and turkey-
We also rode a carousel there and the kids played on the playground. It was a very nice morning and great weather. Such a fun time!

Rosie's Baby Dedication
Miss A is a clown in these two pics...love her sense of humor!
Back at our house...we had lunch with family on that Sunday-
Asleep on her Mamaw-
One of our pastors from our church that prayed over Rosie-
At the house again-
For the dedication, we were asked to think about what kind of person we hope Rosie will be 18 years from now and to parent towards those goals. Here's what we wrote (these were very similar to what we wrote for Miss A and FJ at last year's dedication event):
-To understand and truly know God's grace and forgiveness
-To have the compassion that Jesus showed during his life
-To have a servant's heart
-To have a pure heart
-To value family
-To have respect for herself and believe in herself
-To have a healthy life
