You know what stinks?

Living away from my family.
I miss them.
I got to visit them at the beginning of February. I just took Rosie.
I still miss them.
I sure could use their help from time to time too. I have a dentist appt tomorrow as does Miss A.
A friend was going to watch FJ but she's sick now.
So I will probably have to cancel our appointments now and reschedule...and if your dentist is like mine? It will be a few months before we can get in again.

E and I will be married 7 years in March. Oh how I would LOVE to get away for just. One. Night.
But with no family in town, that's nearly impossible.
So I'll just dream about it instead....
And complain here on my blog.
Because sometimes it just feels good to have a small pity party and then...I'll take a look at myself and just say "get over it" and move on!

Ballet Class

Right after Miss A went to that ballet playdate on her birthday, we went and tried out a class at another location. She loved it and asked me to sign her up! (I had planned on doing that anyway if she liked it.)
She goes on Fridays from 11:30 till 12:30. I have to stay during her class so I usually get to sit for a bit with FJ and Rosie...that is until FJ gets bored and wants to wander around the dance floor and wear the costumes.
Here are some photos that I've taken over the past few weeks-

Miss A's 4 Year Check Up

Miss A's 4 Year check up was on Jan. 31st and here were her stats:
weight-33 1/2 pounds (50th %)
height- 39 1/2 inches (25-50th %)

Rosie Rose was with us during the appointment too(I had a friend watch FJ) and she was very easy going during it.

I finally found out the correct term for the white spots on Miss A's arms: tinea alba ("white skin"). It's caused from the eczema she's had since she was a baby. The doc said to put lotion on every night after bath and to be persistent with it.

She got two vaccines: a Hep B shot and a DTaP shot (diptheria, tetanus and pertusis)

She did fabulously although she was hesitant especially after the first shot. So there were a few tears.
She got her finger pricked to check her hemoglobin and her iron levels were fine.
They wanted her to pee in a cup but after three tries, she still couldn't do it.

The doctor asked her to draw something and Miss A said she knew her letters so the doctor asked her what letter she wanted to do and Miss A said a "G". I had never seen her draw a G before so I was hesitant and thinking "why doesn't she draw an A?? She's really good at those!"
But she drew a G-
And it came out fabulously!
She was asked to draw a circle too-
Then the doctor drew two lines and asked which one was longer and she answered correctly-
The doctor then asked her to hop on one foot which was challenging so she then asked her to stand on one foot which she did.

3 Fun Photos

These are some random photos taken last year-
We went to Fair Oaks Mall in November and met a couple of the Yo Gabba Gabba characters...Rosie Rose was about 1 month old here and she was in the Moby Wrap-
We took our three kiddos to see Santa at that same mall in December-
E and I went to his work VW/Audi Holiday party and we got to take a goofy pic with some funny props-

Rosie Rose's 4 Month Post

Miss Rosie Rose turned 4 months old on Feb. 5th...yep...this post is just slightly overdue.

The two of us were actually in Louisiana when she turned 4 months old. My mom, stepdad, brother, sis in law, nephews, grandmother, aunts, uncles, and friends finally got to meet her!

She went in for her well-baby check up on 2/8 and here were her stats:
weight-14 lbs, 9.5 ounces (75th %)
height-24 1/2 inches (75th %)
head-41 1/2 cm. (50-75th %)

Update on her hearing-
Praise!!! She had started turning to some sounds right before her appointment. The doctor said we could still send her for a hearing test if I was still worried. She didn't really feel like the office tests they do there at our pediatrician office were that effective. However, I feel pretty confident with her hearing and decided to wait till she is 6 months old to send her as that is when she would have to go anyway being that she was in the NICU.

She continues to be so happy and smiley. It sure is a good thing because she sure likes to wake me up during the night. ;-) She wakes up about every 3-4 hours during the night most nights...however...I am still not as sleepy during the day as I was when I was pregnant so I will take it.

Wearing one of her first cloth diapers...it's one of the first that Miss A wore when she was a baby-

A 4 Year Celebration

Miss A's birthday party was held at Chuck E. Cheese on Jan. 28th. She'd been asking to go there for the past year so her wish was our command...so to speak.
E mostly held FJ the whole time but they also played some games-

Ballet Birthday Meetup

On Miss A's actual birthday, we went to a ballet class to try it out as part of a meetup with some other moms and kids. Here are the pics I took with my iPhone:
