Photo Shoot with Linds

My friend, Lindsley, has a photography business called Appleseed Photography. She kindly and generously volunteered to come over and take photos of our newest addition. She came over with her cute little boys last Friday and took lots of fabulous photos. She is so talented and she has a wonderful way with babies and toddlers...it doesn't hurt that she has a toddler and a baby of her own! I have already posted a couple of the photos on this blog that she has taken but now I am posting more so she can post some on her own blog. :-)  I will also post a link to the slideshow if you want to see all of them. Just a heads up-there are 290 in al-145 of them are in color and the other 145 are the exact same pics in black and white.
Here's the link to the slideshow: http://picasaweb.google.com/lindsleyl/FinleyShoot?authkey=Gv1sRgCNf6z7K57dz19AE&feat=email#

21 Months Old Miss A and 3 Weeks Old F.J.

**I want to give credit for the photo at the top of the blog. The photo of Miss A and F.J. was taken by Lindsley at Appleseed Photography!
This will probably be a quick post because we just got home from brunch/lunch at Gram's house and Miss A is napping (and she just naps for an hour).
I can't tell ya Miss A's weight or height because I haven't checked them lately but she is saying tons!! She says something new every day!
Her favorite/most common words or phrases:
Almo (Elmo)
It's a babies (It's a baby! -when she sees her baby brother)
Hi
Chickie (Chicken)
Sticky (Sticker)
Wah-er (Water)
Sears (Stairs)
Hears (Hair)
Ears (Ear)
Sues (Shoes)
Alboat (Sailboat)
Tick-you (Thank you)
Aaaa-Man (Amen)
Meat-for lunch meat
She says "thank you" when she brings us stuff and when we put food on her tray or give her a toy or when we dress her.
She started saying "amen" after our prayers at meals last week and then she follows it up with clapping her hands and saying "yay".
She has a habit of pushing her hair out of her eyes when she doesn't have a hair clip in and she loves putting on socks, babylegs, and her daddy's socks.
She has reverted to waking up super early some mornings (4:30!!) and we've just been bringing her in to our bed.  But as you can imagine she doesn't go right back to sleep if she sees me nursing her baby brother or he is making any assortment of newborn noises (grunting, squeaking, crying, etc).

Mr. F.J. is turned 3 weeks old on Friday! At his 2 week appointment, he weighed 6 pounds, 15.5 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long. His umbilical cord fell off at one week and has healed well thankfully. His second PKU test came back normal...a huge relief to us! His cheeks have filled out and he is looking more like Miss A did when she was a newborn. He's been having some gas and reflux issues in the late afternoon and at night which makes for a very fussy baby! Our friend, L, who has a photography business, came by last Friday and took some wonderful photos of F.J. and some of Miss A too. I will post those soon!

Here are some pics of us and our kiddos...we feel so blessed to now have 2 children!!

Pumpkinville!

Yesterday, we decided to get outside and we headed to Pumpkinville. Pumpkinville is at a local animal park.  It has slides, moon bounces, a petting zoo, and other activities as well as pumpkins. We thought it might be a nice outing being that the high was 78! It also seemed like a fine place to bring a newborn being that I would be wearing him and we would be outside rather than in a crowded mall or some other crowded indoor place with lots of people.
So...without further adieu...here's a slideshow of our pics-

Happy Birthday (a day late) to Granny/Nanny/Grandma!

Happy Birthday to my mom who celebrated her birthday yesterday! This is a late post but it's sent with the same amount of love and thought! You are the most wonderful mom and grandmother!! We couldn't ask for more! We appreciate all you do and all of your kind words and thoughts and prayers for us.
