15 Months Old!

FJ is 15 months old and he's doing all sorts of new things:
just over the past couple of weeks he started:
-signing "more"-it sort of looks like he's clapping
-Waving in a new way by twisting his hand back and forth
-saying "du-dye" for "bye-bye"
-saying "bah" for ball or balloon
-pointing
-stacking one block on top of another
-saying "Ah-dee" for his sister's name
-saying "ah-dah" for "ta-da!"like his sister says
-saying "gee" for something he wants...this may mean "get"...not sure yet
-playing peekaboo...he likes to put his lovey over his face and then uncover it and smile or hide his face around a corner like a chair and peek out. He started doing this back in November on the plane ride for the funeral in Louisiana. Miss A didn't start playing peekaboo till lots later. 

--He's obsessed with climbing stairs so he keeps me so busy whenever we are somewhere with stairs.
--He's walking lots more but he still prefers his crab/tripod/scooting crawl as the quickest way to get anywhere.
--He likes to help put things away such as putting diapers in the diaper bag.
--His favorite book and it's been his favorite for a few months now is "Binky" by Leslie Patricelli 
given to him by his Great-Aunt Sharon last Christmas.
--He cracks up when his sister tries to sit on his back or when he gets tickled or when one of us chases him up the stairs.
--He has such an awesome belly laugh and really knows how to let loose and just laugh and laugh.

As you can see from the pics he loves his lovey and he often has it in his hands when he gets picked up from his crib in the morning. So then it makes its way down the stairs to our living room and into his photos!
I have to say that finding clothes for a little boy has been just as fun as finding ones for Miss A. It's true that finding cute and unique boy clothing is more challenging for a boy than for a girl but it can be done. We most often shop at BabyGap. But we also like Mini Boden, Target, H&M, Nordstrom, and Old Navy.

He had his 15 month appointment today (1/4) and his weight is up to 19 pounds, 7 ounces. His height is 30 inches which is vastly different from the 33 inches I measured last month so my measurements were way off! His head is 47 cm.

He has 7 teeth now-4 on top and 3 on bottom. His molars are swollen but there's no "white" showing yet. He touches the right side of his face often because of the molars that are bothering him.

Walking concern-Just out of curiosity I had the nurse practitioner watch FJ crawl on the floor today in the office...gross I know...but I wanted her to see his unique crawl. She had the doctor come in and see it (the alarmist one we saw at his 12 month appt.). They saw him do the crab crawl and then he did a regular crawl. They said his hips looked fine when he did that. But they had me walk with him holding his hands and noticed that his right foot turns out to the side. That's also the foot he uses to scoot himself across the floor. They didn't seemed to0 alarmed but I did hear the doctor say that technically he is delayed in walking because he's 15 months and not fully walking yet. She said to keep an eye on it and if he isn't fully walking (walking more than crawling) in 4-6 weeks, he may need physical therapy. There could be something with his right hip that may need therapy.

E and I talked tonight about it and we feel pretty confident that he will be walking by then but there's still that fear in the back of my mind that he won't be totally walking by then.
